I am considering getting a SpinTech cat-back system and was looking on their site for info and prices. They only show the cat-backs for 2000-2003 4.8/5.3/6.0L trucks. 1999 is not listed and I can't figure out why? Is there some difference between 99 and 2000 exhaust systems?

I plan on calling them tomorrow with some other questions as well.

Well, I called and one of the owners said "I don't know if it will fit the '99s". He wants me to email him with my questions and he will find out for me. I hope he does and isn't blowing me off.

I am looking at buying the dual oval exit in front of the rear tire. Looks like the Gibson Super Truck exhaust. Anyone have one of their systems installed?

they are probably not sure because some '99s are the old body style, and some are the new body style

I will have to wait to see what he says to my email.

I am debating which system to get. I work for a automotive wholesale distributor and I can get stuff at 10% over cost. Well, we carry Flowmaster, Gibson, Pacesetter, Dynomax, Flowtech and some Edelbrock RPM series stuff. But I don't which ones are actually better and which is just hype. Plus Spintech is different, nobody has them on their truck around here.

Too many choices, so little money!

not sure if the link will work or not, but if you do a search on ebay, you could pick up the muffler for a good price.

or try http://www.midwestspeed.com/

they have pretty good prices. I never liked buying a whole cat-back system, it's much cheaper to just pick the muffler you want and take it down to a good local exhaust shop, that way you can also get the pipes done how you want them, and the tips you want:read:

Well, dont have much of a choice up here, only one shop in town has a machine that can do mandrel bends, and they charge an arm and a leg. oh well......
