My name is Jason and I'm 25 and am still unsure of what I'm doing with my life. But at least I'm having a pretty good time of living. :D I got married to my wife, Christina, this past May and we are expecting a son in a couple of weeks. The due date is January 18th.
I've owned my truck for over 6 1/2 years now. My parents bought it for me in May of '96 as kind of a late graduation present. When I got the truck, I had no plans of doing much of anything to it. I even got mad at a friend who told me I should lower it. LOL I had the truck for nearly 2 years before buying my first billet grille and rollpan. A couple months later I bought a 2/4 drop kit from a friend and installed it. It was all downhill from there. By the end of my third summer with the truck I had a 5/8 drop, 17's, shaved steps and a new paint job. Nearly a year later the current color went on and now I'm to the point that I am today.
I'm not just a truck person or just a GM person. I see myself as a general car enthusiast. My first car in HS was a '72 Plymouth Duster 340 4-speed. I still have the car and plan to restore it someday. My wife drives a '91 BMW 525i which has given me a real appreciation for fine German automobiles, and I drive an '87 Caprice as a daily driver. My next project vehicle is a '67 Chevelle. I subscribe to Car and Driver, Bimmer, and StreetTrucks magazines. I have them listed in order of my favorites. StreetTrucks gives me my fix on my #1 hobby. Bimmer gives me all the latest info on my favorite car company. Car and Driver gives me my real enthusiast fix with info on all sorts of new cars and the like.
My real passion is simply driving, although not just your mundane everyday stoplight driving. I like to find roads with nice curves to carve and fly through them, but it's hard to do nowadays with the dickhead cops around here. In HS I used to get in cat and mouse games with people to sharpen my skills. If I was the mouse, I usually had to slow down and wait for the cat so as not to lose them. If I was the cat, the mouse never got away. I would love to be able to drive race cars. The ALMS is the series I'd really like to race in. I love NASCAR, but road racing is what really gets my blood pumping. Autocrossing is something I would like to do someday. I would find one I could enter my truck in now, but I can't afford a new set of tires at this time.
I love anything automobile related. I've started collecting general automobilia to decorate my garage with. I have a collection of about 5,000 Hot Wheels cars, many from when I was a young child. Posters, banners, signs...I like it all.
I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't do drugs. I never have and never will. It's not a religious thing, because I'm not religious. It's just a personal choice that I have made and am sticking with it.
I'm a roller coaster addict too. I can name the designer/builder of most of the coasters in this country. My wife and I went to an amusement park on our honeymoon. :D
My favorite color is blue. :D My favorite drink is Dr Pepper. My favorite food is a nice, big, juicy hamburger and fries. My favorite animals are cats.
So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Anything else, just ask. :)
