I am going with the FFS 7" lift. Is there anything else i am going to need beside the shocks? Brake lines? Anything? I am getting it within the next week and am debating a 3" body lift also. anything that is going to give me hell? I am doing it myself with a buddy.
thanks

as far as things your gonna need.....brake lines, you shouldnt....i didnt on my 7" cst longtravel.....just unbolt the braket that holds the line to the frame and move it to the control arm...should be plenty of slck for you....i have enough to cycle 15" and have some left to spare....your gonna need some grease and a gun to grease the arms and ball joints...get a torque wrench and breaker bar(duh)....i know that sounds silly, but if you dont have those, you really should get them....especially the torque wrench...oh, and dont cheat yourself....get a locker/limited slip and regear it
things that may give you hell: springs.....we didnt have TOO much trouble.....didnt need a springs compressor, but you might since i have replacement arms and lots of droop. we got mine in by using a sledge hammer, pry bar, and my 280 lb 6'5" friend lol...no joke. make sure you get the alignment cams in there right.....trust me from experience :whyme: make sure you get the little rubber boot that goes on the bottom of the spring in there right.....i think we didnt on one, so it squeaks a little :cussing:
hmmm thats all i can think of for now.....hope this helps...lemme know if you need any help

i have stock 3.42 gears on my 4.8 V8 with my 285's and i really don't need new gears, they aren't that bad.

I did a 3" spindel and a 3" coils and controls and a 3" body no prob man one day for the whole susp. part but it was a whole day. The gear thing the guy had a v6 and had no prob with 315's and stock gears put did need some kinda locker. Make sure you use a balljoint fork when doing the frontend or you can tear up the boots and have to grease every 2 weeks

im gonna have to disagree with not running new gears imho. and i especially cant see how a guy with a v6 had no problem with 315's. if your gonna do a locker or limited slip, save your self the hassel and do the gears to. get it done right the 1st time. im running 4.10's with my 315/75R16(35"), and i kinda wished i wouldve gone with 4.56. i am assuming your gonna run 33', so 4.10's or 4.56 even from a little more oomph would be great. i think if you guys not running new gears were to get them, youd be happy with the difference, because there is a BIG one. i drove around with out them for like a week. after i got them, it was a whole new beast.
