How can you compress a pic to size to attach to a thread

That's pretty much a lost cause. Find a host somewhere that allows linking and do it that way.

Worked for me. You just have to click on "my photos".

If you right click on the link to the photo and say "copy shortcut" and then paste that in it will go straight to the picture.
