Check it out. If I end up getting a Can-Back and all my light this may be a nice addition to my Z:)

Im adding a second one to mine because of the airbags and stereo addition..

theres an article in the new MT or online at www.minitruckinweb.com that shows you complete installation and parts

I didn't read that article but I did read the one over at Off-Road.com (http://www.off-road.com/chevy). Did they use the same kit in the minitruckinweb article?

Here is the Off-Road.com article on the dual battery installation (http://www.off-road.com/chevy/reviews/wranglerdb/)

Just so you guys know.. an extra battery is only helpful when you are using the electrical system with the ignition key OFF. when the vehicle is running, all the electric is drawing from the alternator. Take my truck for instance, I am running4 big amplifiers with 200 amps of current draw, along with power everything in the truck. And iI only run one battery. I upgraded my Alternator to handle the extra load. If you just add another battery, all you're really doing is putting more load on your alternator by giving it something else to charge...
SO I recommend An Alternator upgrade before battery....

I know that I already have the heavy duty alternator, but I have to get an extra battery because the compressors will be running to fill the tanks after the key is off, and I'll be playing music with the key off at competitions and shows

naw, I bought the heavy duty thompson compressors so they should do fine with one on each of the 9gallon tanks

I'm in the same boat as Funk. When I'm camping and need to turn the lights on the Can-Back on I don't want to run my engine. Also if your battery dies for some reason you have a backup:)

I read that article in Mintruckin' and they used the Scoshe setup, the Off-Road article used the Wrangler system. Both are very popular systems. I def. want to do a dual battery setup as well.
