Flame tint?

What do you guys think of flamed tint on the side windows? cause I'm going to get my back ones darker and was thinking of doing something different on the sides. Oh ya what is good % to put over the factory tint in the back 3 windows to make it darker? I don't want it to be as dark as limo tint tho. Thanks!:D

I was considering flame tint on the sides myself awhile back. I had 5% mirror tint on all my windows for about a month and when I took it off I cut flames into it myself just to see what it would look like. I was in a real hurry as I only had about 30 minutes to remove the tint on all the windows, so I didn't really get very far. I cut them in, checked it out and ripped it off and finished up. I think they look alright on some trucks, but I just like plain charcoal/black dark tint.

I'd recommend throwing 20% over the rear if you don't want it real dark. That'll give you 4% which technically is darker than classic 5% "limo" tint, but 5% isn't nearly as dark as a limousine's tint almost always is. If it's too dark you can always take it off. :D Really though 4-5% isn't really that dark. I have 1% (5% + 35% which metered at 1%) and it looks dark as hell but it's about perfect. I think anything less than 20% would be a waste.

I'm a tint purist. I like it black and black only. I think flamed tint would drive me fuking nuts looking out! :whacko:

i actually kinda like the flame tint on the side windows. i am thinking of doin that with my next ride that i do, i think it will look pretty sweet lookin, just kinda worried about getting pulled over by the men in blue.....Trey:D

From what I hear, you guys in OK have it easy. I don't know anyone in that state that's ever been busted for tint.
