Wool wash mitt

I've been using a wool wash mitt for a while now, but recently heard that they are known to cause clear-coat scratches. I haven't had this problem, but is there any truth to this?

Yeah, but it's not as bad as people make it out to be. 100% cotton mit is better.:cool:

Yeah, wool is probably not the best thing to use. The fibers have a tendency to pick up and hold minute debris particles. I would only use a terry cotton mitt or a good quality sponge (I use both).:read:

yeah a good sponge or a 100% wool mitt is a really good thing to have if you are picky with the finish of your truck.
stay away from those cheap inexpensive mitts and brushes they do more harm than good.

I use cotton mits. Just get a good cotton one. The key is to clean it out good before and after you use it.
