If anyone else has pictures of yours or other custom 88-94 Interiors post them up. Maybe we have more people less interested in the 95 up dash swap.

I could do with out the tweed...:puke:
The one with the guages and the A/C moved to the middle isn't bad, but where did he put the radio?
Hmm...
I'm thinking of eventually moving my A/C controls up to the top part of the dash and then installing one of these (http://www.ssiamerica.com/ecom/itm00010.htm) where the A/C controls are, and then getting a new headunit. That would :rocking:. And then maybe painting some parts of it black, either flat or shiny.
:head:

I kinda like how that last full custom dash looks. It could be done a little better, but it's not bad.
Here are some shots of mine:

Notice in this last pic that I even filled in that v-groove down on the bottom of the dash. I always hated cleaning dust and crap out of that thing!

Mine's in progress. I'm making some covers for the seat brackets, then I'll be painting them with a flame pattern to match the console lid. Next, the center portion of the dash will be painted to match the gray camaro seats. I'm referring to the plane that the golve box door is on. I still don't know what I want to do with the door panels.

I was kinda leaning towards hot pink feathers, but denim sounds :rocking:
I still have a while before I'll be ready to work on them, so I'm sure I'll be able to think of something by then. I can't wait to get my console. :D

dirtysouthz71: as much as i think the gray tweed looks awesome for a show truck, theres one thing i would consider thinking about. your truck is a mudding beast, and mud does not like to come out of tweed much i dont think.
it would be way different and everything from the normal show truck look on the inside, but i think you could get crazy with pray on bedliner. i know many people do the inside of their K5's/jeeps/bronco's etc for ease of cleaning, but instead of smoothing/painting the dash you could primer and then bedliner (assuming it would adhere). do it in a thin layer so it doesnt look ridiculous, but basically give you a mud proof interior. you could also look into some high quality marine grade vinyl. BTW i think gray is the best interior color imho

I had a similar mud proof interior on my old 84. Mostly sheet metal and line x even had a bilge pump.
By the way I found some more interior shots.:D http://pic1.picturetrail.com/VOL119/674350/1967529/23554940.jpg http://pic1.picturetrail.com/VOL119/674350/1967529/23554947.jpg

Instead of painting the dash pieces, how do you think it would look if I just bought the gray pieces and swapped them in? It would be easier, and more subtle. Any thoughts?

Did you sand and paint that dash inside the truck or did you remove it to paint it?
