Summit Exhaust

Has anyone used the exhaust that summit makes i was thinking about puting it on a 97 GMC with a vortec 350 :confused:

It looks nice and is inexpensive. It's not stainless or aluminized so it'll rust. I'd say it's a nice budget system. A lot of people on here will recommend that you take your ride to a local shop...they will more likely be an overall better value.

Summit uses walker mufflers which is the same as dynomax, they are good systems and the price is right.

I had that system and the tail pipes didnt fit at all, the pasenger side one was right but the driver side hit the shock then bent around and actally came out off center i say get one custom made with the muflers you want.

i bought one of their kits for my '93, and didnt have any problems with it at all, that werent my fault. its a universal kit, so you have to trim it to fit (the center pipe, before the muffler) i put a 350 y-pipe on and clamped the head pipe directly to it, and ran with just the mufflers for a few weeks, thinking i'll take it apart, trim it, and install the tailpipes when i have time. needless to say, it wont come apart and the tailpipes didnt fit right. i took it to my local muffler shop and had 2 1/2" tails and 3 1/2" slash tips installed. sounds great!
