ok, on my truck there is A LOT of power steering fluid, oil, transmission fluid that has been caked on the frame, crossmember, and stuff like that for a long time, anyone know of a miracle that will take this stuff off pretty easily?
this isnt for my truck its for my buddys 85. he posted this on my name.

Gunk makes some pretty good stuff called Engine Brite. I've used that a couple times and it works good, fairly cheap too. I'd get a couple cans of that, park the truck in the driveway, let it COMPLETELY cool off, put a tarp under it, then go at it following the instructions. It may take a couple tries, but I think it should work.

Keep in mind whatever you use to degrease will take grease off of stuff you want grease on. So try not getting it on the ball joints, tie rod ends, or anything else that should have oil or grease on it or in it.
I would recommend "Simple Green" for cleaning. Spray it on the parts you want to clean, agitate it with a brush and rinse. Try a gasket scraper for the thick stuff. Might take a couple tries but it really works. I'd definitely do it over something you don't mind getting dirty, like an old blanket or tarp like Fullsized said.

I recently switched from Simple Green to Orange Blast. This stuff works great!!!
And just like scrapin' said, it will take grease off of everything. Anytime I do a sprayn'wash on the undercarriage I always regrease everything (little thing I learned working on airplanes!):read:

Greased Lightning, 10X better than Simple Green.
