What is the best form of Rainx to use? I got caught in a Ton of rain tonight and realized I need to RainX my windows. I've only used the liquid before...I know they have wipes and I think I heard someone else saying something about a wax/cream or something?
Suggestions?

I just use the liquid and it works great. Make sure to get a couple coats on their for optimal performance. Water just rolls right off of my windows.:rocking:

Don't waste your time or money with RainX...
Just simply use the same wax you put on your paint on all window surfaces. Just be careful to stay away from the rubber edges or you will have to break out the peanut butter.

PB removes wax from most vinyl and rubber/plastic exterior parts. You can also use Lemon Pledge to bring the black back to it's original color.

I use the Rain-X Windshield Washer fluid. Its like 4 bucks for a gallon, 0 degree temp rating i think, and it puts it on your windshield every time you do the washers. It doesn't get much better than that. Or does it... when I'm at the car wash, I'll bring a roll of paper towels, dip one in the rain x and do all my windows, they come out sooo shiny. :head:

Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of it?
I haven't rain-x'ed my windows in awhile but the main reason I do it is so I don't have to turn on my wipers :D

You mean you never spray your windshield with the little sprayer thing to get a bug off? O wait...:dunce: You're that guy who washes his truck 2-3 times a week........

Use the liquid rain X, nothing like it IMO :read: :D
Using regular wax on your windshield isn't a good idea :read: The wax builds up on your wiper blades and streaks your windshield ;)

Damn right :D
It's usually only 1-2 times a week. If it's dirty...it gets washed, period. ;)

Yeah, I actually wash mine like everyweekend. Mostly to get rid of the bird poo. It gets dirty again by the time i get back to the parking lot, so it doesn't stay real clean for now. Although right now its pretty shiny lookin...

I disagree. I've had more streaking problems with RainX. I do use Dawn once a year on my vehicles to remove all wax build up and follow with a coat of wax. I usually don't even use my wipers cause the wax does so well. If I use the wipers it's in intermittent only. I've used wax on all the windows for 15 years and had zero problems with streaking. I also change out my wiper blades every six to eight months, as recommended by most wiper manufacturers.

Liquid Rain-X. I've been using it for 10 years now. When I do an application, I usually do at least 2-3 coats at a time. It's somewhat of a pain in the butt to get a clear, haze-free application, but once you're done, it's worth it. Anytime I actually do use the wipers, I usually don't go faster than the slowest intermittant speed.

Your question should be where can't you buy Rain X? Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, parts stores, grocery stores...you can find it anywhere.
