01 door panels are nicer than 99-00

I changed my door trim panels to the deluxe version. The driver side came from an 01, and the pass side came from either a 99 or 00. I noticed the 01 panel has a smoother texture and a smooth satin finish. The 00 panel has a bumpier, deeper textured finish and is more shiny. The 01 panel definitely looks more expensive and refined. Has anyone else noticed this?

I'm sure most people aren't as anal as I am to notice it, but it bugs me. :rolleyes: Being so nitpicky sucks, but I can't help it. :damnit:

I didnt notice that but I didnt notice my 00 has the same color buttons as the surround where my hommies 01 has black buttons on graphite surround...

I didnt notice any texture difference... maybe the one you got nice and new

Same color buttons as the surround??? Can't say I've seen that.
My buttons are black and my surround is graphite. Mine look just like these (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33706&item=2412212425&rd=1). Yours are different?

Yeah, maybe the 01 panel I got is just in better condition (it looks brand new), but it really looks like the texture is more subtle than the other older side.
