Looking at the Hotchkis 2/4 and swaybar kit for a ECSB 03 GMC I will soon be buying (hopefully next week :D ), and had a question about it.

I understand that with the lowering springs, you loose some weight capability. I looked on the Hotchkis site, and searched here, but couldnt find the answer.

Approximately how much is lost? I will be road tripping across the country this summer, and carrying my motorcycle in the bed as well as assorted camping gear. Bike weighs 500# plus all the gear, so I may have 750 pounds or so in the bed. There may also be other times when I will have two street bikes on board, and that can hit 800-1000 pounds before gear and passengers. With this in mind, should I plan on air bag helper springs as well?

I assume that wont be a problem, but would like input from others that have this kit.
I emailed Hotchkis, but am still waiting to hear from them.

Thanks

I've got Hotchkis springs and I've had a bed load of furniture in there and it only went down an inch or so. I'm not sure if it would make it w/ a motorcycle in there though. Might bottom out a lot. You should get helper bags on there and it won't affect load capabilities at all.:read:
