i'm planning a 5/6 drop on an 87 siverado and i'm thinking on installing the following belltech parts:
2" drop coils
3" drop spindle
6" flip kit
c-section frame rail kit
what else am i missing?
there are two type of spindles, a 1"rotor and a 1.25" rotor, how
do i know which one i need?
what size belltech nitro drop shocks do i need? i'm assuming i need shorter ones right?
also, will i need shims to correct the pinion angle in the back?
this will be my first fullsize lowering project, but i've worked on a few s10's before. it shouldn't be that much different, right? i'd appreciate any comment.... thanks.

the 1" rotor is standard brakes, the 1.25" are for heavy duty. you'll have to take the wheel off and check to see how thick your rotor is;)
why not do a 5/7 drop? my flipkit from western chassis "almost" got me to 6", but only a little less.
i would recommend some doestch tech shocks instead of the belltechs too.
and no, you shouldnt need any shims

i not going for 5/7 coz i didn't wanna level the truck. it will occasionally get some heavy load, tools and lumber out back. so, with heavy load, the back will sit lower than the front.... it will look kinda funny. plus i like the raked look.
i checked the rpo codes and it says the truck was equipped with heavy duty brakes. so i think i got the 1.25" rotors. but i will check, to be sure.
i'm not too familiar with doestch shocks. how good are they compared to belltech? how short will i need? 2" shorter up front, 6" short out back? anybody got any part numbers?
thanks.

get the doestchs. Bell tech shocks ride like crap ---> they are really stiff. For part numbers just call doestch direct, tell them what you have, and they will give you the part number, plus you can buy them directly from them if you want to.

i'll see if i can get doesch shocks at a local store. i 'd hate to order anything online, too much hazzle buying across the border... i'll end up paying too much.
anybody's got an idea on what size tire i can fit on the factory rally rims on a 5/6 drop, without rubbing? i'm thinking:
245/60/15 front,
275/55/15 back - might be too wide.
will it fit?

I know the back tires will be fine -I was running a 295 in the back with a flip kit before I bagged it. The front I ran a 225/60 with about a 5" drop with no problems. a 245 should be ok - there really isnt much for the tire to rub on.
