i just want to see if i understand this correctly

i have been doing some research on different tire sizes and stuff so that i can bag my gmc and still be able to tow a trailer with it. here is what i was wanting to clear up.

the pirelli scorpion 265/35ZR22 tire has a load index of 102 which comes out to 7500 total pounds. this is more than the weight of my truck and the trailer and truck i plan on towing. Would this be possible? towing with 22's and bagged? i sure hope so, that would make me a very happy man.

once again any input would be greatly appreciated.

do you have to tow with your nice wheels on the back?

why can't you just save the stockers, and switch them on when you need to tow so that you save your good wheels and tires....seems like the most logical thing to me ;)

i was just curious about the 22's. after reading the post i think it sounds like i was looking to get them but i cant afford that much.

i think after all the searching i have done i have decided to go with 20s and 275/45s and not bag the truck. just put the helper bag in the back so i can take the load. That size tire will carry the load and are not going to break the bank. only bad thing is that they will not tuck so no bags :bawl:

thanks guys,
