Ok I have a question when it comes to lowering coils, lets say for example a 2" lowering coil. Does it eventually settle to 2" or does it lower to about 1.5"? The reason i ask is b/c I have a friend who is willing to sell me his 3" lowering coils but i'm not quite sure how low the coils would actually go. Will they go down to 3" or will they say around 2.5" or 2"? My friend really couldn't tell he had them on for about 2 days before a dealer talked him into trading in his truck.

They'll do pretty close to 3". It really depends on the manufacturer but I've had pretty good luck with all of the springs I've put in. They usually hit the mark within 1/4 of an inch or so.
If you can get the three's for cheap and don't want all of the drop put a set of 1" rubber spring spacers on top of them. I did that with mine so when I get ready to go to a five/seven drop all I have to do is pull the spring rubbers out in front and I'm there.

Ok.....I don't wanna sound lick a d!ck but if a 3" coil only dropped your truck 2" they would call it a 2" coil. They will need to settle upwards of a week to get to full lowered stance. A few things can and will come into play like your spring isolator. These are on the top of your coil and keep noise down. If they are worn and old than they may compress a little more....aka a little over 3" total drop. If they are new and stiff than they won't drop at all past what the spring will do. If you don't put them back in when you swap springs you could have up to 3.5" drop.
A drop spring is designed to drop the designated amount. How heavy your truck is will vary the actual drop a LITTLE but not a full inch.

Well it say the gross weight of my truck is 6100lbs, its a V6 not a V8. I hope his helps. But now my friend he would sell me his whole drop kit for $150, its a 3/4 belltech drop with doetsch shocks. I want a even drop if the coil will eventually drop down to 3", What could i get to make it a 3/5 drop? Can i just add a 1" lowering block or do i have to get something else?

A 3/4 drop will have hangers and shackles in the back and is as low as you can go without a C-notch. If you want lower you will have to step up to a flip kit and notch and the hanger/shackle kit is a waste of time and money...

A belltech 3/4 drop will give you a raked stance. You can probably get to 3/5 by de-arching your leafs 1" also, but you'll probably be bottoming out pretty often unless you notch the frame. If you like going low, I suggest you save your money and time and go 4/6.....much better stance. :D

Your truck does NOT weight 6100 lbs. My dually weights 6400lbs with a big block without me in it. Gross weight is not the actual weight of the truck. Gross weight is the truck plus it's maximum load capability.

I was looking at the djm 4/6 earlier today. I saw stylin had it going for $399. Do you guys know where i could probably get a better price or is that about what i'm gonna end up paying plus shocks?

Stylin concepts is very competative. You may find something a little cheaper but probably isn't worth the trouble. Stylin is one of the best places to buy from (pricewise, customer service, and HAVING IT IN STOCK!!) right now. You may save a few $$$ going somewhere else but it may take a while to get the stuff.
