To start I have a 2000 chevy, my question is, my crossmember is it removable to get more ground clearnce and if it is what are the pros and cons of takin it off, and also is it difficult to remove?

I guess you're referring to the tranny crossmember? :think:
I think one of the guys here (I think it's bigblackgmc) had his sectioned or something like that. I would't remove it. The new body style frames are weak as it is.

Just have one buit. I have the stock one right now, and I am having a new one put in.

I know KP Components will make custom tranny members for you to lay it out....this was answered by Larry who contacted Doug @ KP.... "They recommend modifying the transmission crossmember. It has a couple humps on it that keeps it from laying fully. And they modify it for $125 But you have to send them yours to have it done."
