Wash the truck with dawn dishsoap (to remove any wax that may be there)

Mix a solutiton of dawn and water in a spray bottle.

Spray one panel at a time and run the clay over the paint in back and forth motions, keeping the clay in the palm of your hand (do this in the shade on a cool surface), drying with a clean cotton towel as you go. Be sure to keep the clay clean & don't drop it on the ground :D

From here, you can continue with the package you bought or use Meguiars #9 swirl remover if there are some fine scratches and swirl marks in your paint.

Personally, I prefer liquid wax/polish, but what you have should work fine.

Just be sure to use a new, clean cotton towel or applicator with each different type of polish/glaze and KEEP THEM CLEAN. Any dirt on them will scratch your finish.

Good Luck!

About the dishsoap/water mixture.....all the clay bars ive ever seen have come with a quick detailer spray to use as the lubricant....probably works better than dishsoap.

I bought the clay bar from Zaino. Most of the detail sites I have been visiting recommend whipping something up rather than spend extra $ on something. Works great!
