View Full Version : Removing wax from black fender flares?
I just upgrade from my 96 Yukon to a 01 1500LT Sub 4x4. The previous owner got some wax on the black unpainted fender flares. What's the best way to clean this off?
I didn't want to use the wrong chemical and damge the plastic or the paint.
Thanks
Jim

Yes smooth creamy peanut butter will take it right off :D
Are you serious? How do you use it?
I tried hotwater with Dawn soap last night using a tooth brush and it didn't work. I was thinking about using Goo-Gone but didn't want to dull the plastic.
Thanks again

You guys are the bomb with all your little tricks! :rocking: I had some wax on the bumper and used peanut butter yesterday...now its all gone. The only problem I had was trying to keep my dog from licking all the peanut butter off the truck before I could wipe it off. :D
