but it doesnt seem like there is any kind of turn around on answers, so i apoligize for posting in the wrong forum, but I need some answers.

If i saw my dual pipes off right at the turn down over the axel will i need to do anything else to them, where i plan to cut is between hangers, leaving the remaining pipe, about 12" or so w/out a hanger

So it's dumping before the axle? If so the I don't think so. That's only a foot of pipe so i think that one hanger would be fine. You might want to put a turndown tip on it to keep water out.

if a turn down tip is what i think it is, then the pipes from the muffler is what ive got already,

the pipes rise up from the muffler in a series of bends to about 2" away from the bed, then they straighten out towards the axel and turn down at a rough 70 then a 20 making the pipe straight down just past the axel.

i checked out some turndown tips online, and unless they give you more resonance i dont think i need them, ive got more of an angle that a tip does, i might go back in and saw some more off to sim. the angles on the tips.
