What is the best way to clean my engine / and compartment,
what products have you used? I have used a product called
STEAM it comes in a can. But that was on my 74 Camaro. I
just covered the distributor with a plastic bag, spray the steam all over the engine and hose off the entire engine and compartment, not much electrical stuff to f- up back in those days. I live in
Arizona and I get alot of dust in my engine compartment.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Try Simple Green...wet the motor down (while it's cool) with a fine mist of water. Then spray the engine bay down with the SG, try not to spray it directly into the alternator or on you electrical components. This would apply to any cleaner, not just SG. Let it soak awhile, agitate any really bad areas with a soft brush. Then rinse with water lightly....:D If you have access, blow the motor down with a compressor. Once again, don't blow directly into the alt, or other electricals. After that start the motor and let it come to temp. Detail the rest with your favorite product.

I found that Greased Lightning worked the best for me. Just don't get it on the paint.
