Well it seems exhaust has become an obsession of mine and ive just decided my current setup just isnt loud enough...right now i have a single in dual out 40 series flowmaster with no cat...just isnt loud enough for my tastes...im thinkin about running true duals with glasspacks or maybe even 2 flowmasters...price is an issue so i like the glasspacks. How much do u think it would cost to get my exhaust set up like this? How would it sound? Thanks

I realize that I'm probably beginning to sound like a Magnaflow salesman, but I've had nothing but good luck with them... Try a set of these: http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/ss02.htm

in the 4" variety... They are loud as hell, sound completely badass, and flow much better than any Flowmaster ever will...

Dual flows will be quieter(2 mufflers instead of one:tongue: ). The truck I drove today had true duals with glass packs. I'm thinking of getting a custom y pipe made and running 1 3" pipe dumping infront of the axle. Either a glasspack or a that new Spintech muffler(I forget what its called, but its the LOUD as fock one...Boomer comes to mind)

I have a strait pipe after the cat . Nice mellow rumble at idle and slight at cruise but when you get on it the people walking on the side of the road better cover their ears:D :D :D

buy an exhaust cutout from summit. under 40 bucks, your truck will be louder than anything else on the street. Put the cutout right after the Y in your exhaust.

just imagine an extra piece of pipe coming off your big 3" pipe you have now, its about 8 inches long and has a cap at the end. When the cap is closed, your exhaust goes through your muffler. When its open, your exhaust dumps right out from your headers or manifolds, making it loud as hell. the cap just goes on with 3 wingnuts. Go look at www.summitracing.com and search cutouts.

hmm i like the sound of that...what about an electric cutout? how much would those run ? I would assume its the same thing basically except you dont have to upcap it yourself? And are these illegal for shops to install?

I have electric cutouts -- they're great. Quiet to loud just by pushing a switch. Search "McCord power plate" at yahoo. The cutout is the same, you need to order it from summit, the electric part is just the plate that goes on the end. They work great. I dont think its illegal to install, since its legal when closed.
