Anyone have feedback on Cherry Bomb Turbo mufflers? I want to upgrade my exhaust to get a nice deep rumble, better flow/performance without any loud bursts under acceleration or deceleration. I've got a 97 K1500 Z71 shortbed w/ 350, dual cats, single tailpipe (stock set up) now. Looking to go with a dual in, dual out muffler, with pipes straight out the back. I plan to put on headers later (probably Gibson shorty's). A nearby Meineke shop put a dual exhaust on a guy's p/u at work, straight pipes out the back, sounds great. Nice low rumble, no tinny sounds or loud blats when you get on it. The Cherry Bomb Turbos have insulation material inside, vs the Flowmasters having none, just the baffles. The shop said they're a little more quiet than Flowmasters, and they have those too, and Magnaflows. But I always thought Cherry Bombs were on the cheap quality side, but the one I checked out was as good as a Flowmaster. The shop will do it for about $525, welds, mandrel bends, nice chrome tips, warranty, etc. Only other option I was considering was doing a Gibson cat-back, but according to their website options I may not be able to run the straight back option without losing my spare tire. Any comments?
