I hve waxed my truck always myself nd my friend buffs it but my truck is never as shny as a lot of cars i've seen. I know my paint just needs a really good cleaning thing. I was thinkn bout taken it to detail shop and having them do the claybar sandin buffing polishing and waxing. See if they can get it looking real good. I'm curious what should i expect to pay for thsoe things? thanks

My friend just had his car "professionally" detailed....no clay bar or anything....and it was horribly job....it cost him $100. You could do the clay bar yourself. It is not that big of a deal (although I have never done it myself)

I detail trucks as a side job. If you really want a nice shine order some Zaino with the claybar and do it yourself. Or get a Mothers claybar with the swirl remover and wax and I think you will like the results just about as well as a "proffesional" detail job. Do it yourself and save yourself some money. Unless you have lots of scratches that need some compound you really wont be able to tell the difference.

Agreed!:D Spend a weekend on it yourself, it will look much better and cost you about half the price and you will still have all the polish/wax left over for future usage.

If you paint is dull or you have a lot of scratches/swirls you are not going to get it looking its best with Zaino. Zaino will not remove oxidation or swirls. I would suggest having a mobile detailer come out and detail it for you. Do a little research for a good mobile detailer in the area. Look in the Yellow Papers then call them up and see if you could look at some of their work. There are hackers out there, a lot of them so the best thing to do is look at their work and see if that’s what you want your truck to look like. You should expect to pay no less then $100 but no more then $200 for just the outside for a VERY GOOD JOB.
