Ok guys Im going to have to go to the led's my blue bulbs are not bright enough....I see the 194 leds on the superbrightled page but I also see this
T1.5 Instrument LED bulb
1-LED Instrument Cluster and Gauge illumination bulb. T 1 1/2 bulb installed in twist-lock socket base Available with White, Blue, Green, and Red wide angle LED
$ 1.79
This is on the same page....Is this the socket and bulb I need in a combo or should I just buy the leds?

i just took my dash apart in my 92, took the bulbs out that illuminate the dash at night, and the bulbs dont come out, they arent the 194's. i was also looking at superbrightled and saw the t1.5 bulbs and they look like they would work. does anybody know if that is what they are made for? also, anybody know where to get new bulbs and bases for the littler lights for the parking break and turn signals and such?

There has been some discussion about this before. FOr the illumination bulbs, if you have bulbs that are soldered into the carrier, either you need to do some surgery with the soldering iron, or you need to go to a parts store and buy the bases that accept 194 bulbs. Most clusters come with bases that you can remove the bulbs from, but some are soldered. The T1.5 bulb is rumored to be a replacement for the smaller idiot light, turn signal light, etc bulbs in the cluster, not the illumination bulbs. Keep in mind that's a rumor.

has anybody installed the led lights for the instrument cluster in a 99-05 silverado. Have found the t1.5 or the #74 led bulbs, but how well do they work?
Thanks,
Chris

Here is a link that you need to use. Use what he has on there and it will come out beautiful. I used and did what he had posted and my gauges look awsome.
