Is it possible to change the steering column on my 92 cheyenne to a newer one out of a 98 tahoe? How hard will this be if it can be done?

Okay, this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=42609&item=2420026530) is what I was wanting to put in my 92. Can it be done? Has anyone done it? If this is not possible, is there any way to shorteh the stock one I ahve?
