I want to buy a Catco cat, part number CTO-9648. I have some money on my paypal account I would like to use for it. The cheapest place I found so far is summit(158.39), but they don't take paypal. So I was wondering if there are any Catco dealers on here that would take paypal? Or does anybody know of a dealer online that would take paypal?

They also accept paypal. :read:
Those are the universal ones. I bought one of those fron that place. No exhaust shops around here would weld it in for me without charging me more than it would cost for me to just buy the direct bolt in one and do it myself. I bought one of those universal ones for 37.95 and turned around and sold it on ebay for 50.00.

Why wouldn't they weld it in?

One place wouldn't do it because I didn't buy it from them. There was one guy that would do it, but it would have been more hassle and cost than what it was worth.

OK, I thought maybe b/c it was illegal or something. I've got a friend that can do it for me so I'll be alright.

So are you saying that a shop cannot legally weld these two new Catco's just delivered to my door today? Please don't tell me they will only install the GM OEM cats.:bricks:

I bought the Catco cats with crossover pipe and bolted it in myself on my 97. Made a HUGE difference in both sound and power. I liked them so much I bought one for my Tahoe. They are pricey ($330) but well worth it in my opinion. Plus I could bolt it in myself :D

Legally they probably can install those. I think most laws say that if a converter has exceded its useful life it can be replaced. I'm not really sure what useful life is though. But getting a place that is actually willing to do it is another story. I bought one of those 37.95 universal ones off of ebay, and most places around here wouldn't do it. So now I am going to buy the direct bolt in and do it myself.
