I'm thinking about getting this dual system for my '00 Silverado 4x4 and was wondering if anyone had experiance with these on the newer model trucks. Seems like a great price, and I like doing all that stuff by myself anyways. Hows the sound? Do they fit pretty good?

I don't have any experience with the Summit exhaust but I plan on getting it for my 93. Can't beat the price.

I know Summit uses Walker/ Dynomax/ mufflers and pipes.

So at least its semi-decent equipement. I know I'll probably used Hi-temp paint on the pipes so they dont rust since it just aluminized steel.

I bought one of those kits a few years ago and i must say it is junk. The tail pipes did not fit at all, they would hit the shocks and not come centered out of the back.

Did it hit your shocks because your truck is lowered or was that before you did it?

It was before i lowered it. The left pipe actaually came out at the corner well the other came out in the middle. I guess you get what you pay for :cussing:

I just received mine yesterday, not going on for alittle while though. Hopefully I won't run into any problems. It doesnt have to be perfect, anythings better then whats on there now :( If the pipes hit the shocks, I'll just dent the pipe alittle
