i was taking apart my dash to put led's behind it, and while putting it back in, i thought i would try to polish out the big plastic lense that covers the guage cluster, it has some swirl marks and light scratches, anybody know how to get rid of them and make it really clear?

3M makes a plastic polish.
I got mine from the local Auto Paint Supply Store.
It is pretty good at removing the dullness.. but I don't have a clue about scratches.. I haven't had any to remove. But at only a few bucks a bottle, give it a shot. You can always use it on your Headlights and Taillights..and what not.

i took you advice and went to napa today. i found some meguires clear plastic polish, i never knew they made that. i guess they make something for anything you need now. it didnt take the scratches out, so i took some rubbing compound to it then went over it with the clear plastic polish, it worked better than i ever thought it might, definetly a good product.

meguires makes a plastic polish and a plastic cleaner. I think the cleaner will take out minor scratchs aswell, but your idea with the rubbing compound was a good one aswell.
