Has anyone attempted to put Hooker Super Comp Headers on their '96-'00 Vortec 454? I just put a set on and they don't seem to be built right or something. The primaries are 1 7/8"x32" and the collectors are 10" long. The main problems are on the drivers side. One of the tubes is in the way of the steering arm and one tube hits the lower control arm mount. I just need to know if it has been done before without modifying the header or parts of the truck. They are supposed to be build with plenty of clearance. Perhaps they were just built wrong.
