would this be stupid?

i want to bag the rear of my suburban later this year. i want to get as low as possible without cutting the floor. i want to step notch instead of using a bolt on notch so it will be a little closer to the ground. can i get a step notch, then line it up to where it's almost to the floor, then weld it in? this should allow for a few more inches of drop. i plan on 4 linking it too. any idea of how low i can get on 245/40 R20's? what do you guys think about the step notch idea?

yes nice idea thats what im doing to the dually im notching to the bottom of the bed pics soon!!

i can build you a notch that will do that you just need to tell me how far from the deck to the buttom of the frame
