Bought a floor shifter and had to put it in something, so i built a center console, this is the third one i built for this, and i finally am going to finish this one. There is still some fiberglass work to do on it, i have to round out the edges, and paint the metal black, the iron cross has my cb speaker under it (i drill a bunch of holes in the previous one, and wanted something different.) the cross took me 3 hrs total from making the stencil to smoothing out the edges, but i am gonna cover it with vinyl and put a lid on it, and finish the cupholers. I will have pix soon of it in the truck, just havent put them on the net yet....

Does anyone know where i can buy vinyl, the good quality stuff?????

thats a great looking console, very unique. you are goin to paint the metal area and then cover the wood/mdf and fiberglass with the vinyl? cant wait to see finished pics

i recently started a job welding at dfw airport so my time is now limited, thanks so much for the good feedback, and i have about 26 hrs on the conole so far, proably doing some glass work in two weeks, nothing extravagant, just simple to make things more soothing to the eye, not square, either way i am sick of looking at wood all day, i really need to finish but i will keep the updates when i start again

ok nothing new with the console, i am sick and tired of it...and i dont want to pay anyone to do it, plus the shifter i got sucks. no matter how i adjust it i still have to slam it in 1st gear cause it wont go other wise, and there is nothing i can do to fix it besided getting a stock cable and working on the end to match the other,

so i am no longer going to finish the console, i am not in the market for new carpet, and a 60/40 split bench with power driver seats,

sorry guys i just dont have the time anymore, with working full time and going to school full time, but i do thank you much for the comments , and if by any chance i do decide to work on it some more i will def post pix

o and the red x's are up cause my buddies server is crapping out
