Michelin:
I have had the Michelin LTX in 265/75/16 load range C on my 2000 EXTCab Z71 for 98,000 miles. The first set had 73,000 when I took them off with winter coming; they still had a few thousand left. These tires were rotated between 5,000 to 8,000 miles. They were never rebalanced and the truck has never been realigned.

Those tires wore very evenly, rode well and made little noise. They did very well in the couple of 8' to 12" snowa that had to deal with. Not much extreme off-roading but did ok in light mud.

The only real concern I ever had with them was that the compund seemed to get pretty hard when they got about a third worn. They did not hook up well from a start on wet roads and would easily spin even with mild throttle input. I like them well enough to buy them again.

Bridgestone:

Got a new truck and decided to try a different tire to replace the stock Firestones. 2003 ExtCab Qudrasteer 4X4. After reading many hundreds of post at tirerack.com I went with the REVOs.

I chose then becuase they seemed to be one of the most technically advanced light truck tires available. There many technologies seemed to promise to eliminate the one issue I had with the Michelins not having good wet traction when worn.

I bought them in 265/70/17 but these are not LTs. I bought this size more for the looks of a 17" wheel then any other rational reason. Wanted some nice aftermarket wheels to replace the stock, and decided to up in size but not to the point of not having enough sidewall for some light off-roading. They are almost the exact same hsight and width as the Michelins.

I have 5000 miles on them and am not sure that I made a good choice yet. They seem a little noisier. They do not seem as smooth riding. yes I know that the side wall height is less. It may be that I have one slightly out of balance or round; and will have that checked soon.

They do hookup well no spin on wet streets. This could be because they are still new. Haven't had in the mud or snow yet.
Do like their more aggressive look.

Time will tell.
