Jus got some magnaflows! Thumbs up!

Hey guys, well as I was goin in to get some turn downs welded on today, i had noticed there were about 6 holes in my muffler. So i took it to a nearby shop im cool with and the guy said that it needed to go. I had flowmasters on there, but the guy said if i got flows again it would be loud as hell, but as he said most teenage guys want that. Well, I'll be 20 in 1 month and I told him i dont want the rumble of the earth here, just nice clean sounding exhaust. SO I went with the magnaflows, and good God, I love it, sounds really deep, and when u hit it, u hear em. Not really louder than flows, but a helluva a lot deeper!! I think i remember a post about a month or two ago about guys reporting on magnaflows, well I love em!! I like the flows too, but magnaflows, are the cleanest and deepest sounding exhaust systems ive ever heard, on a truck that is... COming up next week.. bacc downt he the sicc shop for drop spindles, fixin the guages a tad, and maybe sumthin else if i can think of it! I lll put up some pics. Later Fellas.

I knew you would like the Magnaflow. That was probably my thread (maybe). Anyway, I love mine too, its the best sounding muffler I have ever had. Like you said it sounds awesome when your taking off or at WOT its really awesome sounding.

99Chevy, the sound is quiet at 45mph allmost non-existent. At 75mph it has just enough rumble to let you hear the engine. It doesn't have that drone resonation sound of the flowmaster.

Also its stainless steel so you don't have to worry about the rust holes because it carries a lifetime warranty :)

Which one(s) do you have? I have the 3in/2x2.5 out now but I am going to swap over to true dual 2.5 with a x-pipe. Just wondering how they would sound dumped. I have a friend with the same setup I am going to do but with flows dumped before the axle and it sounds badass. I currently have mine running strait out the back with 3.5x18 stainless tips (which I paid way too much for) so I dont want to just can the tips.

I am also looking at putting true dual magnaflows, and was wondering which ones to get. I see there are basically two styles, the round body XL and the XL turbo. Is there really a sound difference, or is it just a size difference.

The XLs are all together different from the regular Magnaflows. The XLs are a chanbered type muffler where as the reg Magnaflows have a strait through design. go to their site (http://www.magnaflow.com) for more info on them.

I have a '98 HD with the 7.4....Do I want two magnaflows, or one with dual inlets and exits? Do you have the oval body or round body? And what length should I get? I have been trying to decide what kind of setup to get but can't seem to make up my mind. Sorry if thes are dumb questions but I don't know what to get. Thanks.

I'd also like to know which way to go on the magnaflows...Have 99 5.7 that has the 2 in/2 out factory muffler. Definitely needs something cause it has no throttle response like the 5.3's have!
