Gibson SuperTruck or Magnaflow

Ok, you guys have almost convinced me now to try out magnaflow.

Just need to know, whether you think it is better sounding than gibson muffler. Preferrably those that have heard and ridden in a truck with gibson supertruck exhaust.

Reason I'm asking this is, if You guys think it sounds better, I'll chop the gibson muffler off and weld a magnaflow on. Otherwise, I keep the gibson.

Neither, I have a flowmaster. Im still thinking of swapping it out for a magnaflow though.:(

I still want to hear a friggen Magnaflow muffler I also want to hear Spintech, Bassani, CGS, Ravin, Meanstreak and there was one more , so I will know what they sound like and if I like them. Because I want something louder than my Flowmaster 40 with a deep tone.

Bigred you want the loudest and throatiest go with spintech:D :D :D I'm running tru duals on my dads 72 with a 350 in it. The ones we got are the Oval Pro Shoot Out. Simply the loudest thing I've ever heard. They'll be going on my new truck next summer:D

I have a gibson cat back on my truck and I love it. not the super truck though. Go to www.gibsonperformance.com if you want to hear what it sounds like. Check out www.magnaflow.com if you want to hear it. For all other exhaust sound clips go to www.ls1sounds.com You can spend hours there listening to the different systems.

I had the super truck set up on my last truck and IMO it was way to quite, so I replaced the muffler with a Flowmaster 40.

What it all comes down to is your personal preference,my wife has the gibson super truck on her 2000 silverado,I have a flowmaster force 2 on my supercharged silverado.They both sound great.I like my flowmaster,like i said it personal preference.Todays mufflers are all close in performance!:rocking:

Spintech... well IMO it was okay for my 2.8l s-10.. but not a fullsize!

Why would you delete it jsut because its 4 years old ? Its an opinion thread ... opinions dont have a time limit.

Im thinknin of takin my flowsuper40 off and putting on something different. I want something mean but not quite as loud in teh cab as my flowmaster.

ive got the gibson supertruck exhaust and love it but when they say not recommended for towing they mean it! its louder than any subs ive heard at around 1800 rpms under a load holy ****!. its quiet when you need it to be and comes to life around 2500. a buddy of mine has a 4.8 with the magnaflow and its just loud sounds good but loud.
