Just got a 1.5 din pioneer and a Sirius sat tuner installed. Easiest install I have ever done and looks great! The HU has RCA sub outs and that is it for pre amp outs. I would like to upgrade the speakers next and keep the head unit powering them. I know the cheaper model speakers will probably sound better with the low power of the pioneer MOSFET 25 RMS per. I will eventually put a powered sub behind the seat if I can squeeze one in, I am 6'4" and can't loose any clicks on the seat. So I guess I am looking for some 4x6's and 6 3/4's that will sound good with low power and have a brighter tweet than the factory speakers.

Thanks, Kevin:fsg:

Well Kevin, I am going to recommend a speaker set that should get you going in the right direction. The CDT CL 61s. They are a 6.5" component set, for use in the front doors. They are really damn cheap, and they are a higher quality speaker. You most likely will need to run an amp for them to really "howl", but like you said, you are gonna add one later anyway. Why not put it under your seat instead of behind? Might solve your problem about the room. Anyways, with this set up front being pushed by a good amp, there will be no need for any 4x6 rear speakers, so I would scrap that idea and use the $$ for an amp. Anyway, enough BS, here is the link for ya!

They look like nice speakers but are definatley overkill for my application. I will put a powered sub in as I only have sub pre amps and run the other speakers off of deck power. Just looking for an upgrade over stock that will sound good with the low power. Also how do you mount componanents in the doors? Where do you mount the tweeters? I was thinking about putting these in to replace the 4x6'sBlaupunkt PCxt652 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3072211375&category=14939) and get some low power componants for the doors, it is a regular cab truck and I am looking for an improvement in sq more than sheer power. Thanks, Kevin

I reccommend MB Quart.:head:

premium 3-ways in the stock location, crossovers flush in the door panels.
