Currently I have BellTech Nitro Drop Shocks but I've head they suck and I don't like them. Let me know! Funk 07-31-2001, 10:55 AM I have factory shocks on mine, their from a 98 because we couldn't get the 99's to fit. Get airbags, and ya wont need shocks hehe 454ss 07-31-2001, 11:08 AM I had those shocks in my 92, but they felt too soft, now I have bilstein lowered shocks in both of my trucks they ride stiff and corner real good, edelbrocks are good also. scrapin' 07-31-2001, 11:15 AM I'm running Doetsch Tech shocks on mine. They're pretty nice. Lifetime Warranty. $150.00 for a set of 4 from Sport Truck Direct. Mine have been on there for 3 years. No probs. AnniesSS 07-31-2001, 12:18 PM I just put on the Edelbroch AIS on all 4. Me likes 'em real nice! lol :D  Mark 07-31-2001, 06:12 PM I hear Edelbrocks are the best ones out there, if you want to spend the money. We have Monroe's on my bro's. The are actually sold by AirRide but Monroe makes them and AirRide sticks their sticker on them. They work really well and are fairly well. He also has air bags though, smooths things out a whole lot! ChevyOnAir 07-31-2001, 06:36 PM Looks like I might go with the Edelbrock Performer IAS Shocks. They look to be the best for my application (Waco roads suck too, right Mark :) ) Thanks for all the suggestions :) Later, P.S. I would love to do airbags, taking donations all the time :) Mark 07-31-2001, 07:36 PM I hear ya! Let us know how they turn out. Are you going to have them controlled inside the cab? ChevyOnAir 07-31-2001, 07:40 PM hehe, i will tell you when i read more on that website... didnt know they could do that... Later, :) rollinstyle 08-01-2001, 11:53 AM do you have to get your truck aligned after replacing the shocks? AnniesSS 08-01-2001, 01:22 PM I don' t think it's necessary, but I could be wrong. Mine was straight before and after the installation... I had the fronts installed first then the rears a month or so later. ChevyOnAir 08-01-2001, 03:36 PM So where is the best place to purchase these Edelbrock? Need a good price :) Later, AnniesSS 08-01-2001, 06:03 PM I bought my Edelbrock's from Martel Brothers.com. I think they were $75 each + shipping. 454ss 08-01-2001, 07:57 PM Check out this place below for a price, thay are pretty fair , also I think edelbrock has some kind of rebate going on now. www.shox.com ChevyOnAir 08-01-2001, 08:32 PM I know Im blind but I couldnt find them on shox.com ??? Ill look again... thanks Later, 454ss 08-01-2001, 09:27 PM Try emailing them, I just checked and I didn't see them either, I bought my bilsteins from this place, and they have good prices, I thought my friend said he bought them here, not sure now. SIT N' LOW 08-02-2001, 01:51 AM you dont need to have your truck aligned after installing shocks. your changing how dampens the suspension, not changing the geometry. rollinstyle 08-02-2001, 10:38 AM it ended July 31, it was like 27 bucks off a set of 4 or something like that oxidizr 08-15-2001, 07:59 PM One of the best shocks I have found to date and have installed on two of my current cars are the HAL Stocker Star ALs. Yes, they are $140/unit but I have yet to find a comparable performing shock. The shocks are billet aluminum and are fully rebuildable and re-valvable. They have an external adjustment which allows loose to stiff rebound dampening. IF loose is what you want to help the front end rise for drag purposes or for off-road suspension articulation it can do it. And with a few clicks you can immediately set it for road race or street. If any of you have a Short bed short cab 99+ silverado and you have had to nail the brakes you can feel the weight transfer and are familiar with the wheel lock-up. With the Hals I have adjusted it to allow for only 4" of dive on max braking...it feels much more stable and feels to stop quicker. http://www.halshocks.com/shocks/stockerstar.html On my Impala I was able to pull off a 1.71 60ft on DRs...not too bad for a 4400 lbs car. katman 08-28-2001, 10:00 PM I was told that the Bilstein shocks work really good for lowered trucks anothet brand is Toxico has anybody heard otherwise? katman 08-28-2001, 11:07 PM The toxico are crap? The HAL's are they very expensive? Are they the best? Someone told me the Eldebrocks leak and they are crap also. I'm going from second hand info I've had Suspension Tequniques shocks in my truck since I lowered it 5 years ago and now there starting to leak. Funk 08-28-2001, 11:14 PM I like doesch tech the best landshark 08-29-2001, 05:38 AM I havent had any problems with my kyb. They have been in use for about 4yrs. ChevyOnAir 09-14-2001, 02:43 PM ok, I finally got the money to buy the Edelbrocks and they should be here by next week (Hopefully) I will let everyone know How I like them... Ive read on another board that you have to break them in for like 50 miles but someone said it took 1500 miles to get them broken in... true? rollinstyle 09-16-2001, 12:27 PM what r u gonna do w/ your belltech's? ChevyOnAir 09-16-2001, 01:37 PM Hopefully sell them rollinstyle 09-16-2001, 04:52 PM Would they fit on my truck, do you think? ChevyOnAir 09-16-2001, 05:05 PM Not to sure.. I will look at the application guide and get back to you ChevyOnAir 09-16-2001, 05:16 PM I looked them up on the application guide and they are only for 99-00. Sorry about that rollinstyle 09-17-2001, 09:02 PM Man!:bawl: Thanks anyway!
