This crossmember is 2 inches lower than the stock crossmember, allowing you to lay out completely on your frame in the front.

Fits 2001-2004 Silverado/Sierra
Made from 3/16" metal for a strong crossmember. New crossmember comes with six reinforcement plates.

i have a 2000 silverado and it doesn't seem like mine would hit the ground first it is flush with the frame.

You're right, they changed the transmission crossmember in 2001, and from 01 and newer they hang down below the frame.

this is only a problem with the 2001 and newer. the 99 and 2000 dont have this problem.

I've yet to install mine, but it's the best deal you can get for a low pro crossmember. The customer service was great..

OT .. but I see your inner plastic fenders are removed. Do you relocate anything in there, or just take them out?

I have not relocated anything under the hood, just took the plastic fenderwells out when my truck was bagged, when I had the big stock tires on they rubbed some, so we took them out, but I've been wanting to put them back in.
Here's some pics of the fenderwells cut out on southerncustom's truck, like this his truck could tuck 22's with low pros:
