I got my exhaust done finally. I love it. It sounds awesome. It is not too loud at idle, but it is very deep and loud when I step on it. It looks just like SSHOTRODS setup, but I also had cut-outs installed before the x-pipe. I have not opened the cut-outs yet, but I bet they will scream.

I am working on getting pics. Should have them in the next few days.

Hey, I got mine done Friday before the HRP. I still don't have the cutouts yet. But I did get the AS&M's done and in. I went with Magnaflos. Belive it or not, The truck is quieter with the headers and duals than it was with the 1in/2 out Dynomax. I saw you at the track Y2K2 but after my only run, I couldn't find you. I did get to meet TX_Silverado and JUSTINB. I am still having a suspected lean condition possibly caused by my MAS, so I only ran once. The truck definently has more low end pull:D I will be getting the cutouts in a few weeks.

Fast4.8...What did your truck run? I saw you drive in, then I looked for you after my run and couldn't find you. I think my truck ran pretty good. I was going to keep it stock for the dyno day also, but just hated the site of all the exhaust stuff sitting in my closet, so I went ahead and had it installed. I met TX_Silverado. I'll see you for sure this weekend at the dyno day.

Bad launch, bad wheel hop, lost my top end because I freaking forgot my Hypertech and too much air in the tires. Let's just say it was a time not worthy of my name:D :D

HA......That stinks!!!

I don't have a HPPIII either, so that would definitely help my times. My truck shifts low and slow. :bawl: I am trying to get one by this Saturday's dyno day, so I can dyno in third gear instead of 2nd, but it doesn't look like it is going to happen. :(

You guys are making me sick! :bawl: All my stuff is siting at the exhaust shop just waiting for me to get my headers in and on.

Greg - Did you do your headers and exhaust all at the same time? That is how I am planing to do mine so I only have to take it in once. I would like to do them one at a time to see the difference with each mod but it will just be eaiser this way.

Big KID, when do you expect you headers? Any word? Anxious to get your impressions on the X with Magnaflow mufflers. Hope you like it, I sure do!!!!

BigKid, Yes I did it all at once. I put the headers on Friday morning and drove it down to the muffler shop that afternoon. It was funny, because I had to drive by the local High School with open headers right after they let out. Man I was getting some looks.:D

What exactly are cut outs and what do they do?

PDQ - I got an email stating that "all headers will be shipped by March 8th" so hopefully mine will be here by then. I cant wait!

Greg - Thanks for the info. Did you have to go far to the exhaust shop? Also did you just completely take off your y or did you just cut it off in front of the cats? Just tring to figure out how I am going to get mine to the shop since it is about 10 miles from my house.

I had to drive about 5 miles in 30 mph traffic. As for my cuts, they are made 1/4" in front of the cats. I know the Hamm's are a little different. As far a driving 10 miles, I think it would be OK just don't go to fast or hot rod it. I did not take the Y completly off. In your case, you might have to or hold it up with some wire or something. Mine was held up by the collector flanges.
