2007 RAAM Mat Group Buy
Over, as of 01/19/08

Here it is just in the nick of time! After the first of the year, they will be raising prices slightly over there, but Rick said he would honor the current prices for the duration of the 30-day group buy. I'll post up the exact end dates when I get that info, but if you're in need of deadening, now is your chance.

All contact will be directly with Rick McCallum (owner of RAAM Audio), as is the same with all business transactions. I merely was a middle man in all of this. Here are the specifics:

RAAMmat BXT Groub Buy
______________________

30 day Group Buy for members on all RAAMaudio sound deadening products. Group buy goes from 12/19/07 to 1/19/08.

Check out our products,
www.raamaudio.com

See how we compared to other brands at this independent site,
www.sounddeadenershowdown.com

No minimum or maximum number of sales required.
_____________________________________________

Typical recommended order sizes, you are welcome to order
exactly what you want with the minimum amount of each item
to be 1 roll of BXT, 2 yards of Ensolite, 1 can of adhesive.
Note: Vehicle size is a critical issue here, if you need
specific recommendations for your ride, just let us know.
_____________________________________________

Basic install, utilized carefully will result in a great deal
of improvent, focus mainly on doors, back of cab wall.

1 roll BXT RAAMmat (62.5 sq ft) $99.00
3 yards Ensolite foam (42 sq ft) $29.85
1 can adhesive for foam (use sparingly) $6.95
______________________________________________

Mid to upper level install, depending on your particular
vehicle size. Doors, back wall/doors, rear sides, partialfloor
and firewall coverage. Half rolls are not normally sold but
making this available for the GB for those that need it.

1.5 rolls BXT RAAMmat (93.75 sq ft) $148.50
5 yards Ensolite foam (70 sq ft) $49.75
2 cans adhesive $13.90
______________________________________________

Going all out on on double cabs, extended cabs, probably
overkill on regular cabs. On the smaller cab sizes this is
audio competition level, on SUVs, mid to upper level.

2 rolls BXT RAAMmat (125 sq ft) $198.00
7 yards ensolite foam (97.93 sq ft) $69.65
3 cans adhesive $20.85
______________________________________________

Re: 2007 RAAM Mat Group Buy
Two updates to the original post... The group buy goes from 12/19/07 -- 1/19/08. Also, you will need to include that you are in the FSC group buy (in the subject) so Rick knows to honor the GB prices, so get it while the gettin's good!

What exactly is the ensolite foam? I am interested in the group buy, but just wanted to know what the purpose of the foam is.

Re: 2007 RAAM Mat Group Buy
The foam is kinda like a noise absorber i think... Doesn't really stop pannels from vibrating but it stops noise that makes it through the mat.... Correct me if i am wrong though...

Just an FYI for everyone... GB ends next week, and you're stuck with the new pricing.

Re: 2007 RAAM Mat Group Buy
How much do you think I would need for a '98 Suburban? I'd like to cover the interior and the doors....maybe quiet down some of the droan. Its a little further down my list of mods, but I may buy it now to save a lil coin.

Also if you deaden and seal the doors....what happens it there is a mechanical problem? say window motor... do you just rip it out?

Re: 2007 RAAM Mat Group Buy
You're pretty much stuck buying more whenever you have the failure you're talking about. Once you rip it off, it's pretty much shot. Also, when you're sealing the large spaces off, use plexi & silicone. IMO, this is the best option, simply because of what's in discussion.

As far as amounts, for reference, I'm ordering 2 rolls as prescribed in post #1 for my Tahoe. I'm not going overboard... yet.

Just contacted Rick and will do my order soon.

I just noticed that the price for the adhesive is more expensive than it is on the website...

It's actually like 20.xx with the group buy. That is a misprint above.

That was a typo! Sorry about that. It's $6.95 per can. Good eyes!

Re: 2007 RAAM Mat Group Buy
Are you sure you sent it to the right email? I know he's VERY busy at the moment, but he's still very good about getting back within a day. I can't remember if the site has online ordering set up or not, but if so, you could probably do it, but you would have to specify that it's part of the FSC GB.

I just got mine yesterday. I'm kinda suprised at how small the rolls are, but I guess it goes a long way.
