Re: Ring & Pinions, front diff, axle shafts

How much for the front diff with 4.56? Is it for 1500 trucks? Also how much for the 4.56 gears for the 8.6 10 bolt? Shipped to 70726.

Yeah it for 1500s

UPS ground is around $100 from 98045 to 70726

$300 for front diff and $100 for 8.6 4.56s

$400 + shipping ~$500

Front is ready to go. The rear are still in the truck, so might be a week or 2 until I can ship those (need to get the 14 finished)

Re: Ring & Pinions, front diff, axle shafts

the front diff wouldn't happen to be an autotrac would it?

Re: Ring & Pinions, front diff, axle shafts

autotrac is the transfer case... the front diff is the same from 88-06.

Re: Ring & Pinions, front diff, axle shafts

All parts should be in this week for the 14FF, so if anyone is serious, I will pull the 10 bolt out. Just trying to keep the truck driveable until my ready to "pull the pin" on the SAS.

Re: Ring & Pinions, front diff, axle shafts

I've put about 10000 on the truck. With the front actuator, the front gears don't turn unless its in 4x4. The gears have less than 200 miles on the them. Didn't need 4x4 to much with the MTZs. The gears have been in 2 years and the truck is not my DD.

Re: Ring & Pinions, front diff, axle shafts

Shipping quote to 19977 for front diff and/or rear gears? I'm slightly slow on the rear sizes, would your 99 Body style 8.6 10 bolt be the same for my 99 OBS? Sorry if that is a dumb question.

The 4.56's should be a good match to 35x14.50's Nitto Mud Grapplers right? You said you have an
Eaton Posilock in the rear right? No locker up front correct?

thanks

Not forsure, but I would say that the 99 OBS would probably have the 8.5 rear. 4.56s on 35s are basically the same ratio as 3.73s on 245s. As for the Eaton, DAD already has called that one. His 06 came with the open diff, so he swapped in my old G80 and I think the pin might already be pulled on that grenade. He says it only works part of the time. I won't get any money out of that deal, but he has given me more than what $ can pay for.

Yes, no locker up front. No traction devices for the 8.25 front.

Re: Ring & Pinions, front diff, axle shafts

Understand completely, parents normally get first call on anything! I will do a little more homework on my end but when you have a chance can you check shipping for both? 19977

Thanks

Re: Ring & Pinions, front diff, axle shafts

$80-$90. I am going to split the case and drain the oil when I ship it anywhere to make the package a little smaller and lighter.

Re: Ring & Pinions, front diff, axle shafts

Another note for everyone. I had a ProComp lift which required 1 mounting tab to be removed so ProComp's mounting tab could be mounted via the bolts that hold the 2 case halves together.

Also, my zip is 98045 if you want to run the shipping. I throw it in a a 30"x18"x14" box that weighs about 85lbs.

The front was completely rebuilt when the gears were but in.
Ring & Pinion $225
rebuild $155
Install by shop $500

LOOK HERE ANTMAN
