Re: 95+ OBS 130mph "police" cluster - $175 shipped...
It is the only OBS cluster to go to 130MPH and was "certified" accurate on the vehicle it came on from the factory. The Denali/Escalade clusters only go to 120. It's the rarest OBS gauge cluster.

I believe all that needs to be done is a jumper wire soldered on to get it to work properly. The member that got it to work stated that Pin 2 needs ignition power so he jumped it from another part of the circuit. He verified the speedo with GPS and it was accurate. http://www.pacificp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7367 ![]()

Re: 95+ OBS 130mph "police" cluster - $175 shipped...
How do you get this to work with vehicles that had the normal 100 MPH speedo. I heard you have to do something to get it to work, I think you may have to recalibrate it or something to make it read accurately. I'm very interested in this becuase I've been looking for one for a while now.
EDIT: is there a way to change the odo to what mileage my truck has now? Just curious. Thanks!

Re: 95+ OBS 130mph "police" cluster - $175 shipped...
The way to make it work is posted above with the jumper wire picture...the odometer is a easy switch...a few screws and just swap them between clusters. It should take around 45 minutes to swap odometers, swap clusters, and get everything back together.

Re: 95+ OBS 130mph "police" cluster - $175 shipped...
He said that was for it to work on '95, becuase they are different before they used Vortec engines in '96. Even though it's the same style cluster it has different parameters to it becuase of the tachometer is different.

Re: 95+ OBS 130mph "police" cluster - $175 shipped...
This comes from your thread about these clusters that happens to be a sticky.....
The Police Cluster can be identified in a few other ways besides the 130 mph sweep. The Police cluster has an identification on the printed circuit and also has a unique circuit board specific to these clusters. No other stock OBS cluster have this and to run this cluster this board requires wiring and calibration. Boosted Z-71 has accomplished this swap and he has informed me of how to do it. You can read his information below. The cluster is a straight bolt in except in the case of the speedometer function. You'll need to use a Dakota Digital signal modifier to take the stock speed signal and modify it AFTER it went through the ECM and out on its way to the speedo. You'll also have to shield the wires really well at the signal box and all connections or you get some RF interference that causes the speedo needle to jump at times. Some have recommended splicing into the speed sensor wires at the tranny. Do not do this! You talk about messed up shift points, that will give it to you. By modifying the signal after the ECM and on its way out to the speedometer you get transmission shift functions that stay normal and the ALDL scanner data is also correct. All you need is a scan tool and keep adjusting the Dakota Digital box to match your needle to your ground speed on the Scanner. Mine is accurate to within less than 1 mph, from 0-130. The only other way to do this is change the reluctor in the tranny & GM would not sell the police pacage reluctor to me without trading in a similar unit. EDIT: NVM FOUND IT!! LOL yea it was the way he said....looks like it works that way for the '95s and up as well.
