Cool, like I said, I will be leaving for Europe this Friday for business. I will be returning on May 7th. Once I hear from Rick about it, I will get the pricing structure and detailed information set up and PM it to you, thanks!

Been thinking about buying a roll of Raamat for awhile anyway, so I would be interested in this as well.

Re: Sound Deadener Group Buy
I am in for the group buy. Does anyone know how much material I would need to cover the doors, floor and back wall on a 2000 Silverado Ext. cab four door 4x4? Also, do I need to put in two layers to dampen the sound enough? Thanks

2 rolls
With 1 and a half rolls I was able to do my floor, firewall, back wall, doors, and under the plastic piece that is above the rear window. I also had enough left over after that to completely wrap the extended cab side storage pockets. The extra half a roll would have allowed me to put some on the sides of the extended cab(which I opted not to do because I didn't want to hassle with removing the panels).

2 rolls would be enough. I have only done 1 layer in my truck and it is enough to make the inside of the truck practically silent. I can't see two layers of this stuff giving you enough sound db loss to make it worth the price. This is because after 1 layer, there isn't hardly any sound left to kill. But now if you are putting this stuff in to keep a 5,000 watt monster sound system from shaking the truck to death...that is a different story.

Re: Sound Deadener Group Buy
The following numbers are ROUGH estimates for a OBS ext cab truck with ONE layer of insulation only...
Door: 6-8 sq ft per door
Floor: 40 sq ft
Ext Cab Wall: 12-15 sq ft per side
Roof: 30-35 sq ft
Back Wall: 15-20 sq ft
Grand Total: 121 - 141 sq ft
I hope that helps.
EDIT: Fixed a typo.

Re: Sound Deadener Group Buy
Does anyone know how much it would be on the group buy for a roll of the BXT and enough Ensolite to go with it? I know someone said it was $99 on the group buy, but I didn't know if that was with the foam or not. Definatley interested, who is heading this thing up? Will we just order from Rick or will we place an order with whoever is heading this up and go from there? Anyway, I hope this all goes through. I'll buy at least one roll!

LOL, you guys are getting a little ahead of yourselves. Damian is talking with Rick cuz he knows him but he left for Europe yesterday I believe so we probably won't know anything about it till the end of next week. But with as many hits as are here, hopefully it will turn into a true deal.
Also, last time we did this the buyers contacted Rick directly. I believe the mat was 99 bucks for 62.5 sq ft and the foam was like 8 bucks per running foot. If you are interested go dig up the GB post in the group buy forum. I believe it was last april or may that it was on there. also, I wouldn't be surprised if the price has gone up a little. With gasoline the way it is prices on everything go up...

Re: Sound Deadener Group Buy
i just talked to rick last week, group buys are 99 per roll. it does not come with ensolite, you have to buy that seperate.
i did 1 layerin the front half of my truck, 2 layers in the back. two layers of carpet padding, and my truck is real quiet on the freeway. i just need to do the doors now. i did my back doors a while back and it helped them alot.

Re: Sound Deadener Group Buy
Hey guys I will back from Holland on Sunday. I spoke to Rick before leaving and he okayed the GB. Once I get back, I will email the specifics to the ADMINS here, for them to okay, then once they do, I will post up an informational thread with all the GB specifics and direct contact information for Raam Audio. Rick has set up a nice program special for the GBs, and he said their new online store might be able to accomodate the ordering via a specialized discount code or something like that. The GB pricing will also be extended to the Ensolite and spray adhesive needed to install it. Its not included in the price of the Raam mat bxt60, however there is some discounts on the Ensolite as well. He also stated he will sell half rolls, like if you need 1.5 rolls, thats not a problem for him. So be patient for a few more days until we can get it all cleared by the ADMINS the we are ready to rock and roll...
