Married... Granted, it has been the new lady friend that's kept me out of the shop most of the time.

Thanks for the suggestion on the relay - I'll be using an Opus powersupply wired to my ignition - that unit will be controlling boot ups and shut downs.
Lets see some pics of the hot swap drive.

Re: FINALLY installing 10.4" TS and carputer
well this isn't good.
Planning on doing the install this weekend - working now to get everything ready. Got the front end installed and somewhat configured... can't get the frickin screen to work! I really hope I didn't damage it while building the bezel.

Re: FINALLY installing 10.4" TS and carputer
yeah I got it somewhat working last night. In my inebriated state, I forgot one cable that was removed during the build. Found that and it fired up. I can't get the screen adjusted so the 'picture' is centered and makes use of the full screen. I'm going to install it in the bezel tonight and see if I can get it to adjust.

the brand was 'datalux' but I'm not sure who made the actual panel.
What really sucks is I was planning on getting this damn thing installed this weekend. Oh well I guess I'll get it all installed except for the monitor if I can't get mine working and when a new one arrives, just pop the case and drop it in.

A little duct tape and some bailing wire, and you should be able to get it to fit!

Re: FINALLY installing 10.4" TS and carputer
oh yeah - not sure what happened to all the pictures - it looks like most of the early ones are gone from my photobucket. I'll do my best to get them back up this weekend.

Re: FINALLY installing 10.4" TS and carputer
question for you guys. I'm using a slot load dvd drive with the slimline CD to IDE adaptor here:
I know the IDE connector is the big one. One of the other 3 (4pins) is for power leaving the other 2 are for analog audio. Anyone know which of the 4 pin is for power?
