It helps when you work for a paint company... Namely in automotive plastics!

Re: The 'Hoe Install... work log

A little progress...

It's been fleeced, and I added about 4 layers yesterday to all the fleeced parts.

Overall, I'm happy with the fit. Just below the cupholders in the dash I have a bit of filling to do. Not real sure why that gap appeared.

PowerBuilder 10.5. It's a business-based language. I wanted something plain and simple... Also gives me a chance to try out some of the features we're looking into at work... Namely database synchronization on mobile devices.

Re: The 'Hoe Install... work log

There's been VERY little done as far as the console goes, but hopefully I'll get back into it here shortly. Thought I'd share some of the options I'm leaning towards for the moment...

Mid/Tweet Amp: XT-800.4
Crossover: DCX2496 using the DSPower
PSU: DSATX

I know many cringe at the thought of Behringer, but the reviews have been pretty good on this setup. I'm wanting PC-control, yet on a budget. PC-based tuning is too processor intensive for what I'll be running, so for now, I'm stuck running some form of external crossovers, but with these options, I retain my "on-the-fly" tuning.

I should already be done with this dang thing, but every time I get to work on it, it seems something else MAJOR happens!

Re: The 'Hoe Install... work log

the DCX2496 is the Exact processor i was going to use in my non-computer based setup.

Hope it goes well for you!

there may be paint on them, but since I'm not happy with the match and I'll be painting again, technically, I'm no better off.

Re: The 'Hoe Install... work log

Today, I got the opportunity to play around with the RF 3sixty.2 unit, and I REALLY liked it! I'm leaning more this way now.

Re: The 'Hoe Install... work log

Are you using a palm pilot or a laptop? Laptop interface is much nicer :)

Re: The 'Hoe Install... work log

Well, we used both today. I'll be running the laptop interface on mine to start off with, but **hopefully** I'll be able to integrate it into my own front end!

The local shop here can get me the USamps I've been looking at for less than internet pricing, plus keep my warranty!
