1980 with a new head unit question
I have a 1980 scottsdale k10 with the antenna built into the windsheild, and for the life of me i cant find an adapter to make the stock antenna work with my pioneer head unit. Anyone know where i can get an adapter at?

I found a whole replacement antenna on Crutchfield that replaces the factory antenna and works with Pioneer radio's.

Wait, what does the factory antenna connector look like?

It looks the same as the one on that antenna except it has a smaller hole in the female end so the two dont match up. Its the same basic connector just slightly smaller.

It sounds like all you needed is the standard GM to Motorola adapter: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...40GM10&tp=2569

If I'm not mistaken, the glass antenna will also have a factory booster which needs to be connected to your headunit's remote antenna output.

I bought that connector a while ago and it didnt work. Something to do with the pre '86 GM's have a different plug. Thanks for the link though.
