Your speakers are crying for a baffle and to have that big hole in your door blocked.

Re: door sound deadening complete [pics!]
M5 beat me to it. Yeah you need to make some baffles. And use some roof flashing or thin galvanized steel to cover it up with self tapping screw. Just deaden the cover individually, so you can just take off the screws and it will come off. My cover didn't cover up the window motor. It went to right before it and stopped. So it is still accessible, but it would be alot easier if I took off the cover. Just buy a 24x24" piece of steel, thats all u need.

No one's chimed in about your rear fill? I'm shocked. I expected at least 247589 replies about removing your rear speakers for better SQ.

Re: door sound deadening complete [pics!]
Many people on here do not run rear speakers because it messes with your front stage. It brings your front stage to the back of the truck instead of to the driver. And this causes the music to not be so clear. So instead of buying 2 sets of components, people buy one set of really good components for the front. And this makes the music clear and you have a definite front stage.

Re: door sound deadening complete [pics!]
Well here are a few pictures I took while deadening with the RAAMMat. You told me to take some so here they are.

Mat inside the door. I put like 3 layers directly behind the speaker. like 12x12 squares.

My speaker baffles that didnt work, because I had some clearance issues with the door panel. I made some new ones but I didnt take any pictures of them, but I did seal them in the end.

All the galvanized steel covers screwed on. I just used self tapping screws. Just covering up the holes without deadener put a big boost in midbass to my drivers.

My door all wrapped up, and finished but without the new baffle on. Well there is the process I used. I only did two doors so far. I still have yet to do the roof.

Keep in mind, reducing the pannel resonance will do very little for your overall sound.

Its when you combine the mass loading with a proper wave baffle, coupling, and sealing of the doors that your speakers will start to shine.

Great looking start though man!

Except removing undue colorations from panel modes which our trucks have a lot of; however, your point about the sealing, coupling will indeed be the cure to bring out the midbass and hop up the midrange clarity.

Re: door sound deadening complete [pics!]
I deadened my roof today. My roof still flexes like 1/8". I put like 3 layers on the active spots. It doesnt rattle anymore, but still flexes. Is that flexing stealing from my subwoofer output? If it does will more deadener fix it?

Flexing is normal... You can't do much about that.

Re: door sound deadening complete [pics!]
while it is pretty hard to remove all flexing, More mass loading can always help.

However i would break away from trying to use 10 layers of Raammat up there as that will just add unnecessary bulk. If you have a panel thats resonating as much as your roof, take more drastic measures to reduce the resonance. This is where coupling MDF, tacking metal strips, etc comes into play.

Its alot of work but is it worth it? Idk... its your system

Re: door sound deadening complete [pics!]
ride with a sand bag on top of the roof. problem solved.

i think you would do well with some mdf on the roof but seeing as the raamat is alrdy down i dont see a way to attach something like that effectively.

Re: door sound deadening complete [pics!]
you can glue MDF to the roof, even over deadener...as long as your deadener holds.

I have this done to my truck and I can barely push it down with my hand.
