kind of vague but I have a question

I was looking in my glove box in the 04 1500 and saw a thin black wire behind the glove box door. I pulled it all the way out and it looks almost like a headphone jack wire. It also seems like the other end of it is plugged into something behind the glove box. Is there anything back there that it may go to??

I know it's not to descriptive but any help would be appreciated.

sounds like something aftermarket.

yeah, its prolly aftermarket wiring...maybe its a remote lead...i ran a remote wire in my truck wich was a PAIN IN THE @$$!!! and come to find out there already was one and it ran behind the glove box.

The factory xm tuner is behind the glove box on the right side. Does the truck have xm?

It did have xm i think from the factory but i don't have the presets on the head up. I think if you hit fm it should change to xm but it doesn't.

If it is thin black with a textured coating almost like techflex then it is the xm antenna wire.
