Head unit help...
sorry if I am reposting. I did a bunch of searches, but I can't seem to find just what it is I am looking for. I want to know about new head units in an 05 1500. I currently have the stock, single disc cd player. While it is okay, it won't play MP3's that I have burned onto CD. I have no issue replacing it, but I want to get the 411 on 2 things.

1. Is there something I can easily and inexpensively add to the stock head unit that would allow it to play from an mp3 player (not an ipod)?

2. If I replace it, which is fine, does anyone have pictures of what theirs looks like after replacing the stock HU? I have always had s-10's, with the standard HU size, and the space to fill in the fullsize is much larger...
Finally!!!! I bought a fullsize!

Re: Head unit help...
You could get a little FM transmitter down at radioshack. They usually don't create a strong enough signal for most people on this board. But if all you simply want to do is hear the music then it should work.

Otherwise, you should be able to find an aux to rca adapter to plug into the back of the headunit where there is a spot for a cd changer. Then buy a headphone jact to rca cord and you can connect.

I've no experience with the below links, they may be total crap, but at least you can get an idea of what to look for.

then you add the connection below to the device above:
