nowhere to mount amp!!
There is no where to mount my amp in my 08 chevy crew cab!!! it wont clear the seat when its on the back wall when the seat folds up, wont mount tucked up under the rear seat cause the space is too small. Only place i can find it directly under the seat which doesnt look custom at all to me. Any ideas? I dont want to lift the seat because my kid has to ride back there and dont want to have to live with myself if something happened and the seat messed up....

Re: nowhere to mount amp!!
I put mine under the seat but used 4" long bolts like stilts to keep it up in the air and you can hardly see it.and the kids can't kick it.mine is a 98 dont know if its the same height.

Re: nowhere to mount amp!!
i thought about making some sort of spacers to raise the amp up off of the floor so it isnt as noticeable.

Re: nowhere to mount amp!!
Thats what I did 4" its enough so the amp is up under the seat.sitting on the 4 legs made from bolts, bolted into the amps holes which I ground to a point so they wont move.it works. Its never moved ...and my truck is quick..for a truck.

Re: nowhere to mount amp!!
i was hoping i could put it on the back wall but not enough room with the seats raising up and down. wanted it there so everything would be hidden and look slick and like a white man did it lol

There is always the option of mounting the amp externally.

Re: nowhere to mount amp!!
You cant see my amp and all my stuff "looks like a white man did it" I think haha anyway under the seat is a good spot and you can access all the
connection and controls easily I cant see your hood is there a stick on scoop on there?
I find the african refence dumb and I'm a white guy, that is really stupid to think where your from indicates your skill with anything my african buddy is the best painter around and I wish I could afford him to africanze my paintjob

Re: nowhere to mount amp!!
you need a bit of room for airflow.specially if someone is sitting there.

Re: nowhere to mount amp!!
well its my opinion and choice about how i feel about thosekind of people and thats how i feel. anyways i dont have any "stick on hood scoops" . thats just cheap and ghetto. lol. anyways think ill just go with under the seat since their is no room behind the nnbs backseats with them folding up and the back moving when you fold the seat up.

Re: nowhere to mount amp!!
tried under the drivers seat and it wont fit. Im building a custom center console sub box, but the amp needs to be able to get air to it.

Re: nowhere to mount amp!!
Height x Width x Depth = Cubic Volume divide the cubic inches by 1,728 and youll get cubic feet
make sure you measure inside demensions not outside

I have nothing to contribute, I just thought that was quite funny.

Re: nowhere to mount amp!!
When i said externally i didn't mean unprotected. Get a bed box and mount your amp/battery in it. Just make sure you have some form of ventilation.

There is also the option of cutting out a recess in the sheet metal of the cab. Throw some plexi over it to show it off.

These are of course extreme measures.

Something like this perhaps:
